After serving the country for a full year, Batch C corp members passed out today.
 Unfortunately, this young man, a corp member that served in Karu local government, Nasarawa, lost his life while on his way to the State Capital for their Passing Out Parade.
The accident occurred at the Akwanga-Lafia road in Nasarawa State earlier on today.
May his soul rest in perfect peace and May God give his family the strength, fortitude to bear this huge loss.

We’ll not succumb to blackmail, ASUU tells FG

THE Academic Staff Union of Universities said on Wednesday that the Federal Government’s resort to blackmail would not force it members back to the classroom.

ASUU maintained that it would continue to stand by the sanctity of the agreement the Federal Government voluntarily entered into with it in 2009.

The chairperson of the union, University of Port Harcourt Branch, Prof. Antonia Okerengwo, who said this while briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, explained that contrary to Federal Government’s claim, the union was not fighting for itself, but for the revitalisation of tertiary institutions in the country.

Okerengwo expressed regret that rather than fulfill its promises to ASUU by reviving the Nigerian education sector, the Federal Government had resorted to blackmail.

FFK responds to Aviation Minister, calls her market woman, fish wife

Former minister of Aviation Femi Fani Kayode has responded to the current minister of Aviation Ms. Stella Oduah who yesterday described him as an ignorant individual, who “should hide his head in shame.” after he called for her resignation following Thursday's crash...

My advice and counsel to her is to grow up and stop being petty. She is meant to talk like someone who befits her office and not like a market woman, a fish wife or a creature from a Parisian bordello.

Lagos State Govt shuts down Lord’s Chosen Church Headquarters

The Headquarters of popular Lagos church Lord's Chosen and Charismatic Revival Church, founded by Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has been sealed off by the Lagos State Government for allegedly defacing and constituting environmental nuisance to its environment.

The church, located in Ijesha on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos, was shut down on Sunday Oct. 6th by officials of the Ministry of the Environment and prevented thousands of worshipers from having their Sunday service that morning.

The Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello, explained why the Church was shut down

 “The Church does not have proper sanitary system and they discharge their wastes into the canal. Most of their members trade on the expressway and we don’t want that"he said

The commissioner also said the church had a habit of burning its refuse inside the church, an action that is against the environmental and sanitation law of the state. He said the church will be re-opened only after it builds new toilets, build a sewage septic tank for the treatment of waste water, remove all illegal attachments built on drainage channels, keep the environment clean and ensure that none of its members trade on the expressway.
