Comedian Saka Rejects government appointment from Jonathan
Tiwa Savage’s Husband, T-Billz, Attacks Photo-Journalist, Damages Camera
For allegedly taking pictures against his will, the 323 Entertainment boss snatched the camera in front of several witnesses and crashed it in on the floor. Reportedly the lens and other accessories in the camera were damaged.
The incident, which happened last Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Façade Thai Restaurant, Bishop Aboyade Cole, Victoria Island, Lagos raised a few eyebrows as the photographer and some guests challenged and condemned T-Bill's actions, while querying the photographer for shooting without permission.
According to the eyewitnesses, T-billz who was at the venue the birthday of musician Sound Sultan "angrily attacked the photo-journalist, snatching his camera and breaking it for taking pictures of him".
The photo-journalist Victor Obot also known as Elejo, when contacted, denied directing the camera at T-billz. He commented,
"The camera was directed at another guest who was sitting next to him, and then all of a sudden, he snatched my camera from me and smashed it."
One of the sources told journalists that former Kennis Music artiste, Azadus was infuriated by the incident and was forced to confront one of T-Billz's boys who threatened to beat up Elejo.
Commenting on the situation to the newsmen Azadus said,
"From what I gathered, T-Billz had warned Elejo (photo-journalist) not to take snapshots of him. Much later, I saw T-Billz grabbing the camera from him and then the camera fell on the floor in the process.
Although I do not endorse T-Billz's action, but I think the Elejo should have respected his wish and not try to take snap shots of him"
However, T-Billz, when asked to respond by telephone, denied destroying the camera.
He said,
"It is not true. You can go ahead and cook up whatever story you like. It is not going to shake me in anyway," and then he angrily hung up.
Sound Sultan refused to give any comments in relation to this story.
Multiple sources confirm that the photographer and T-Billz actually have a long-standing working relationship.
"Elejo has done several jobs for Tiwa and T-Billz. As a matter of fact, he goes to their house at 1004 Flats in Victoria Island to meet up with them sometimes, so he is not a stranger to T-Billz," said a source.
Elejo confirmed the once cordial relationship saying "For the jobs I did for him months ago, he is still owing me the sum of N150,000 and so I do not understand why he is being hostile to me."
It will be recalled that for some reason, at T-Billz's recently held wedding to Tiwa Savage, photographers and recording devices were barred from the main hall.
A guest at the wedding even got his phone smashed by security for trying to take a snap shot of the groom.

I never came to terms with the fact I have AIDS and I may never will. Even with the body aches, the constant diarrhea, the never-ending catarrh, the scores of lesions on my body and the torture going on in my psyche, I want to forget that I have AIDS, but I cant.
As I narrate my story, I remember quite vividly that gloomy, dark Wednesday when the doctor took the joy away from my life, when he handed me the death certificate, when he told me I was HIV positive.
The diagnosis shouldn't have come to me as a shock really, because the prospect of HIV had been lingering at the back of my mind. It had worried me a couple of times in the past, but I had always convinced myself that AIDS could never happen to me. But as I lay on my bed, in this dark room alone, I know that nobody; I mean nobody is immune from contracting HIV and AIDS.
For the last two and a half years, I have often found myself trying to pinpoint the moment I contracted this disease. Could it have been the time the barber cut me while trying to do a close shave on my head? What about the time my foot was sliced with a razor during a pedicure in an illustrious ladies saloon? Then I also think it maybe the time I had a minor surgery to remove hemorrhoids. During the surgery, I lost a lot of blood and had to be given a blood transfusion.
But no matter how much I try to convince myself that I contracted HIV through a syringe, blood transfusion or blade, I know that I am lying to myself. If I really and truly want to be honest with myself, I know that; no haircut, injection or transfusion was responsible. I know that I got infected with HIV and AIDS through the lifestyle I lead.
For many years leading up to my diagnosis, I did whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted and with whomever I wanted. I had a great job and was making plenty of money. I was young, handsome, confidant and charming. I have always had the ability to attract members of the female gender. Sometimes, even when I didn't desire a woman, I would chase her, just to fuel my skirt-chasing reputation and just to show off.
Lord knows I loved women, I saw the beauty in each and every one of them and I relished the attention I got from them.
From my secondary school days, to my time in University, through to the conclusion of my NYSC, I treated women like a token chattel you could buy in the market, use and discard. I enjoyed the feeling I got from knowing I had such power over women.
As a young boy, my mother used to tell me how much all her friends loved me and thought I was cute. "You have presence and a special aura my son", she would say. "I know that it will get you very far in life". Now as I remember her words, as I look upon my worn frame, I am scared to admit that the, so-called, charisma and aura got me AIDS.
I regret many things in my life… I regret using women the way I did, I regret the fact that I will not be able to grow old with my family and I regret not taking responsibility for my disease. But my biggest regret of all, is the fact that I didn't come to terms with the disease.
Just like the people on the Television programs for World AIDS day, I could have lived a productive life as a person living with HIV and AIDS. All the other people living with the disease are human beings just like me, but unlike me, they have valor, grace and dignity in the face of adversity. They didn't let AIDS kill them… Like I am doing.
I wish I had the courage to come out publicly and tell the world what has happened to me. I want to be able to apologize to my family and to my wife. I want to be an example for all the young men and women who may feel as invincible as I did and warn them that a few moments of pleasure can not be worth the death sentence imposed by it's consequence.
HIV and AIDS are real and it has no distinct face, yet it resembles every face. Every person has to be aware of AIDS and take upon himself or herself to be cautious. If they do contract the disease, they must not treat it the way I did. They must try to live and tell others about it. They must learn from stories like mine.
Taking into consideration, the advance of my disease and the agony I am in every day, I very much doubt that I will witness another World AIDS day.
If I do, it will be a miracle! If I am gone, I hope for the best for my family, my wife and I pray for her forgiveness. I also pray that the spread of HIV and AIDS will stop. But for it to stop, each and every one of us has to be aware of HIV and AIDS.

Why I Am Angry With ASUU: what Asuu is doing is no longer trade union – Jonathan Speaks Out
At times, we don't even give them a long notice unlike in the case of ASUU that were given four-day notice before the meeting.
As you are meeting to resolve trade disputes, you expect the trade unions to get their officials ready.
What was expected having met with the highest authority in the land for long hours was for ASUU to immediately issue a statement within 12 or latest 24 hours to state their position whether they were accepting government's offer or not.
And if they are not accepting they need to state the reason why.
But despite the fact that I had the longest meeting with ASUU in my political history, we did not start that meeting until around 2pm and the meeting ended the next day in the early hours of the morning.
As far as the government of Nigeria was concerned, all the critical people that should be in a meeting were there.
So what else do they want?
After that, they didn't meet until one week, despite the fact that you met with the highest authority. It was unfortunate one of them, Prof. Festus Iyayi, died.
The way ASUU has conducted the matter shows they were extreme and when iyayi died they now said the strike was now indefinite. Our children have been at home for over five months. Former Bayelsa State Governor, DSP Alamieyeseigha, had pleaded with the President to reconsider the December 4 deadline, calling his attention to the fact that the burial of Iyayi is fixed for that date.
Responding to this, Jonathan said:
We didn't give them ultimatum.
It was the Committee of Vice Chancellors that took that decision. The supervising minister of education only passed on the decision. What ASUU is doing is no longer trade dispute but subversive action. But like you rightly noted, so that we will not be perceived to be insensitive, we will consult on the deadline.

'All Catholics Will Go To Hell Because They Worship Satan' - Chris Okotie
Nigeria's controversial preacher and former presidential candidate, Chris Okotie, told his congregation last Sunday, that:
''All Catholics in the world will go to hell because they worship Satan and are led by an Anti-Christ Pope who is a friend to the devil,'' -
Fifty-five year old Okotie, while preaching in his Household of God Church in Ikeja area of Lagos, said the Catholic church is "a counterfeit church set up by Satan" and that Catholics "bow to idols and crucify Jesus every Sunday when they eat bread claiming they are eating Jesus' body."
Okotie told a stunned congregation:
They are not Christians and have never been. They don't know Jesus. They believe that
when they eat bread on Sundays, they are eating the body of Jesus. It's ritual.
The pope is an Anti-Christ and the Catholic church will soon declare for Satan. This is the end of times,"
He said Pope Francis is an Anti-Christ who does the job of the devil and that time is fast approaching when the Catholic church will pledge allegiance to Satan.
He advised members of his church to come to the rescue of Catholics and evangelise them.
This, he said, was not out of disrespect but out of respect for the word of God.
He said those who know the truth should bring it to those who do not know it in the Catholic Church.
Okotie said one of the Catholic most revered Popes, Pope John Paul 11, surrendered the Catholic Church to Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, instead of Jesus himself.
He said even the current Pope Francis has also done same.
He said Catholics are not Christians and do not worship the same Christ that he preaches in his church, at least the one spoken about in the Bible.
Okotie said he did not write the Bible but it was clear to him that those in the Catholic church were lost and were heading to hell fire.
"They don't believe in heaven. They believe in purgatory, the purgatory that they invented," Okotie said.
"That church, the Catholic church has been there for Satan and at the right time, they will declare for Satan,"Okotie said.
Okotie who has been married twice and divorced also twice said a beauty pageant will take place in his church next Sunday to select the most beautiful woman in his church.
He also said his yearly "Grace programme" where he makes donations to charity organisations will also take place next Sunday.
The once rock star turned celebrity preacher and politician has been controversial for years.
He once said it was the devil who told him for the first time that he was going to be a preacher.
He also said Nigeria's famous preacher Prophet T.B. Joshua is the son of the devil and his followers will go straight to hell.
In recent years, he has been saying that God has anointed him to be Nigeria's president. That prophecy has not come to pass in two presidential elections that he participated in.
N100m Suit: Etisalat Replies Comedian Julius Agwu
Julius Agwu had, through his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, demanded N100m after his business line was blocked by Etisalat.
Julius said in a bid to solve his problem, he had visited Etisalat's Abuja office at Hilton to report the matter.
He was attended to by one Miss Joan, who informed him that somebody had swapped his line.
Julius successfully answered the security questions put to him, his line was restored with no airtime balance.
But he was shocked when the line was blocked later on again. And even after his several meetings with Etisalat, they still failed to unblock his line the second time, causing him to lose some business opportunities.
Etisalat's Public Relations Manager, Chineze Amanfo, while reacting to the allegation through an email sent to PMNews, stated that contrary to the reportage of the issue on the blogs and news sites, a SIM swap was performed on the said line after the requester provided the company's customer care executives with necessary SIM replacement information, in accordance with laid down NCC regulations and process for SIM swap.
She added that the SIM replacement information includes security and personal requirements to the owner, which the requester provided before the swap was effected.
Subsequently, upon a report made at our office by Mr. Agwu that he is the owner of the line and did not authorize anyone to swap it, our customer care executives promptly restored the line as well as the airtime lost during the swap process.
Etisalat Nigeria is currently carrying out an internal investigation into the SIM swap incident and will refer the matter to the appropriate agencies for further investigation as may be necessary.

(Pics) Police Arrest Woman For Stealing Gold Chain & Hiding It In Her Private Part For 3 Days!
The woman, identified as Tessy Emovon, 26, allegedly stole the chain from her boyfriend, Cosmas Odijie, 26, last Sunday in a hotel located in Ikeja, after giving him a sleeping drug.
Odijie had earlier on given Tessy N3,000, to spend the night with her.
According to the police, when Odijie complained of being tired, Tessy gave him a drug called Rohypnol.
She assured him that the drug will boost his energy and sex drive, but instead, Odijie encountered one of the less desirable effects of the drug: weakness, headache, difficulty breathing, nausea, unconsciousness, confusion, difficulty seeing clearly.
Odijie told the police in his statement that after taking the drug, he slept off and woke up around 3.30a.m. on Monday to discover that his gold chain was missing.
"After regaining consciousness, I discovered that my gold chain was missing and when I challenged Tessy, she denied stealing the chain. This led to argument and I had to inform the manager of the hotel," he told the police.
The manager reported the incident to the police at Area 'F' police division, Ikeja, and Tessy was arrested and detained for two days.
She was arrested again by SARS officers as she was released from detention on the third day following a report by Martins Odijie, 33, elder brother to Cosmas, who told detectives that he actually owned the stolen gold chain.
The SARS officers took her to their office at the headquarters of the Lagos Police Command for further interrogation.
During interrogation, she confessed to the crime, adding that she had wrapped the chain in a tissue paper which she inserted in her private part.
And that the chain was still in her private part.
Some female police officers from SARS had to take her to the hotel where she removed the chain from her private part.
A police source confirmed to PMNews that she would be charged to court soon for stealing.

There has been a lot of talk and whispers about their marriage, the family issues and the fact that Lola is by far older than Peter Okoye has been trending. But why did she decide to marry someone who's her junior?
Below is Lola Omotayo's stand on their age difference… Lola, who was a Business Development Director at FKG2m a marketing agency in Lagos, had told the story of how she and Peter met and how the relationship started:
"My agency handles some of British American Tobacco brands and P'Square was doing a show for us at one of our events in Enugu. Though I had met Peter a couple of times before then, at the show there was some chemistry.
He asked for my number and I refused giving it to him. I told him 'if you really want to know me, you have to find my number'. So he took it as a task and found my number and the rest is history." Lola, said to be in her 30s then and Peter in his 20s, was not disturbed by the age difference. Her reason:
"Like I said, Peter is an old soul and he always tells me that I'm like a 23-year-old. Age is just a number. Right now, you can see it around the world. Demi Moore, Usher and some known people. Even in Nigeria here, they are dating people far older than their age. So, we shouldn't base it on the age factor. He doesn't make me feel like he's younger than me."

Oba Adesida became Deji of Akure just three years ago in 2010 after the previous Oba, Oluwadare Adesina Adepoju, was dethroned and banished by the Ondo state government for physically attacking his wife and pouring an unknown substance on her skin.

INEC Declares Willie Obiano Of APGA Winner Of Disputed Anambra Governorship Election
INEC has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Willie Obiano winner of the disputed governorship election in Anambra State
Professor Chukwuemeka Onukogu, the Resident Commissioner of INEC in Anambra state declared in Awka that Mr. Obiano won the election by polling 180,178 votes in 19 local government areas in the state.
The total votes won by the APGA candidates constitutes 25% of the votes in at least 19 LGAs out of the 21 LGAs in the state.
The election results were declared after the completion of yesterday's supplementary elections which was boycotted by major parties that earlier participated in the first ballot.

Paul Walker Dead -- Fast & Furious Actor Dies In Car Crash
Walker, 40, was a passenger in a Porsche sports car driven by a friend - who also died - when it crashed north of Los Angeles.
Walker was said to be attending a charity event at the time.
He starred in all but one of the films in the Fast & Furious franchise, the sixth of which opened in May.
Walker also starred in the suspense drama Hours, a movie that is set for release this month.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department said the crash happened in the community of Valencia.

The car burst into flames after the crash
It said deputies found a car engulfed in flames when they responded to a report of a collision. Two people found in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
Images showed the burned-out wreckage of a red Porsche by the side of the road.
"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide," the statement on the actor's Facebook page said.
"He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.''
Universal Pictures also issued a statement, saying studio staff were "heartbroken" by Walker's death.
"Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans.
"We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."
Walker played undercover agent Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious movies.
The first film of the franchise was released in 2001 and the seventh is in development.
Walker was one of the leading protagonists, along with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.
Diesel said in a post on Instagram: "Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."
