Bobbi Kristina is "Awake" after 3-month Coma

Whitney Houston's ex-husband has claimed their daughter Bobbi Kristina is "awake" after three months in a coma.

Singer Bobby Brown stunned his audience during a concert in Texas over the weekend, telling them, "Bobbi is awake, she's watching me." The crowd cheered loudly, TMZ reports.

However, it's unclear what Brown is really saying. Cos if you take the first comment at face value it seems he's saying Bobbi Krisina is out of the coma she's been in since January 31st. But when Bobby said, "She's watching me," it made it sound like something other than consciousness.

Bobby made the comment at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas.

The 22-year-old daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston has been in a medically-induced coma since January 31. Doctors reportedly said there was nothing that could be done.

At least five people have been killed over the past two weeks since local vigilantes in South Africa started looting and attacking shops owned by immigrants mainly from other parts of Africa

In Johannesburg, Malawian immigrant Samuel Idrssa described how his friend was stabbed and set on fire by a mob.

‘We wanted to rescue him but there were too many of them,’ he said. ‘It was shocking.’
 ‘We have all left our homes. Those affected are those of us who live in poor townships because we live with poor South Africans who do not have jobs.’

APC Rejects May 28 Handover Date

There are indications that the All Progressives Congress is uncomfortable with the May 28 handover date proposed by the out-going administration.

According to Saturday PUNCH, their investigations revealed that the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan and the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) are set to clash over a proposal by the Jonathan team to hand over the mantle of leadership to Buhari on May the 28th, instead of the 29th.

The Buhari team was already over what they considered as an act of ill-will laced with sinister motives.

She was behind the disappearance of toddlers Raphael and Michael Esharegaran who were kidnapped from their home in Magodo shortly after their parents employed a nanny for them last year. She kidnapped the boys and released them after a sum of N2.5m was paid by the Esharegaran's family.

At least five people have been killed and hundreds forced to flee their homes in one of South Africa’s worst outbreaks of xenophobic violence in years, authorities said on Tuesday.

Most of the recent unrest occurred in and around the coastal city of Durban, where police said two foreigners and three South Africans were killed.

Ransom was Paid for the Kidnapped Orekoya Kids, Family Reveals

Emotions ran high on Wednesday at the Police College Hospital, Ikeja, where the Orekoya children were being treated after they were released by their captors. Their father, Leke, said they were put in bags by the kidnappers, who left them at the Shasha area of Lagos.

On Wednesday, exactly eight days after the abduction, the three children were released to the family.
They were said to have been released on Tuesday night, and taken to the Police College Hospital, Ikeja for treatment.

PUNCH's correspondent, who visited the hospital, observed as their father, Leke, cuddled 11-month-old Aderomola. He sang a lullaby as the child slowly shut his eyes, drifting to sleep. He had a drip fastened to his wrist.
