Beyonce named Forbes' most powerful celeb plus she made $115m in one year

Queen Beyonce has shown that she runs the world by topping Forbes' annual Celebrity 100 list of the most powerful celebrities, based on both money and fame.  The "fame" part is measured by how many times the star was mentioned in the media in general, and how present and powerful they are on social media specifically.

Beyonce is #1 on the list not just because she earned $115 million over the past year, but because she's among the most talked-about stars in the business.  For example, the star who's #3 on the list, rapper and producer Dr. Dre, earned a ridiculous $620 million in the past year because Apple purchased his company, Beats by Dr. Dre.  Yet Beyonce outranked him, so obviously, cash alone isn't enough to top the power list.

87-Year Old Woman With Tumour In The Eye Drags Bank To Court Over N253,000 Suspicious Withdrawal

An 87-year-old woman, Mrs. Sanusi Adebisi, has locked horns with the Union Bank Plc over the N253,000 withdrawn from her account in the bank via the Internet sometime in October 2013.

The claimant told the Magistrate’s Court sitting at the Ojokoro, Agbado area of Lagos that she just got N200,000 of the sum from her cooperatives to operate the tumour in her eye.

She told the court that the tumour had worsened since the scam took place because no longer had money to get rid of it.

And now Rob Kardashian has reignited concerns for his well-being after he was pictured hanging out with friends 'smoking marijuana' and surrounded by what appears to be cups containing Sizzurp, a combination of codeine-packed cough syrup and soda.

In the pictures below, taken a few days ago, the 27-year-old can be seen exhaling smoke and passing what appeared to be a suspicions-looking cigarette to a friend.

The reality star is also seen sitting with a double cup, the drinking vessels favoured by Sizzurp drinkers.

Amanda Longacre who contested in Miss Delaware beauty contest said she learned that she had been disqualified because the Miss Delaware pageant determined that she had violated the age requirement but she had done nothing wrong and wants to be allowed to compete in the Miss America pageant even though she will turn 25 this year. A tearful Longacre said she was consulting a lawyer but pageant rules require Miss Delaware contestants to be no older than 24 and they cannot turn 25 before the end of the year. Just In: Massive attack ongoing in Kautikari village near Chibok

According to  Premium Times, there is a massive attack going on right now in Kautikari village near  Chibok community in Borno state. According to residents of the area, the attack started around 9.30 this morning. Many residents of the village and other neighboring villages have taken refuge in the bushes.

A text message was sent by a resident to journalists and security operatives calling for help;

"Massive attack on Kautikari now. All security agencies should be notified,  and call for divine help now.” the sms read

An official of the SSS confirmed the incident anonymously to Premium Times

“Yes, we also received the report, I believe action is being taken about now…but no one has been able to ascertain the nature or magnitude of the attack for now”, the source said

The Faculty of Engineering mourns the passing of their former dean, Professor Henry Ehikpehale Enahoro. His death occurred in Sydney Australia where his last academic engagement was as Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of New South Wales. Born 11th March 1929 in Uromi, Edo State the gentle professor HE Enahoro passed away after a long illness on June 13th 2014. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Dianne Enahoro, and two surviving children, Elizabeth and Christopher. Another child, Rebecca, did not outlive the late professor. He is from the illustrious Enahoro clan of Uromi and brother to both late Anthony Enahoro – best known as the mover of the motion for Nigeria’s independence – and the celebrated journalist, Peter Enahoro.

Tiwa Savage Loses It At The Airport

It seems the dorodiva, Tiwa Savage is a no-nonsense lady who does not take b.s from anyone.

According to Punch, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport last Monday, Saturday Beats watched how Tiwa descended on a member of staff of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company who she said was “rude” to her.

A 13-year-old boy discovered a massive bomb placed in a car near a Jumuat Mosque in Kano and promptly alerted the police. The police spokesperson in Kano, Magaji Majiya said after the boy discovered the bomb he alerted the police nearby and the anti-bomb squad was invited.
“They successfully defused the bomb and site and the car has been taken to Police Headquarters for further investigations and analysis,” he said. The police spokesperson said no one has been arrested in connection with the incident. A bomb explosion, which claimed eight lives, took place on Monday at the School of Hygiene in Kano. The Police said they have arrested a suspect in connection with the school bombing. No group has claimed responsibility for any of the incidents although the insurgent Boko Haram is considered the major suspect.

FIFA bans Luis Suarez for four months, fined $112,000

Mr. VampireDracula has been banned for four months from all football related activities by FIFA for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during the Uruguay-Italy match played on June 24th.
