MUST READ: OPEN LETTER TO NIGERIANS FROM SKIIBII

Well, you all must have heard about the death and resurrection of skiibii by now. Skiibii is dead was what woke me up this morning, at first I told my friend it’s a song title or a stunt to promote his newly released track but to my utmost dismay, our aunty linda carried the news 15mins after I made that statement and my mindset was like RIP SKIIBI, if not for the fact that my internet connection was bad this morning, I myself would have published it but as the case may be, the networks were on my side.

Few hours later, kcee said skiibi is not dead after soso confirmed he is. What really surprised me during skiibii 3hours death tenure were the statements flying around. Some said E Money had used skiibii’s glory for ritual, others said skiibii was a drug addict reason why he collapsed and died.

 The funniest was when a nigga on twitter said he can boldly say that Skiibii was used for ritual, he even went further to use Harrysong to back up his claims that his glory has been used to make Kcee shine, reason why he is yet to make maximum progress in the music industry. Another upcoming artiste even went further to say that if Five Star Music wants to sign him, he would gladly refuse their offer.

All this got me like “so you all have been waiting for skiibii death before you all talk?” Apart from this, the vanity of life became clear to me. Let’s all assume skiibii died, that means he would become popular just like Dagrin became after his death.

I think popularity after death is what Nigerians are good at giving; no wonder skiibii resulted to this tactics. How can one sing a good song and you all ignored him huh????. You aint following him on twitter, u don’t use him as dp, no team skiibii, no sign of encouragement from the media sef. Should we now blame skiibii for taking the shortest cut to fame?

We all should start encouraging our own artiste or else someone will die next perhaps Ycee (LOL) to promote his new song.  Even lindaikeji was well played in this case which means she would rather update that he is dead than hype his song for free??

Rather than blame skiibii we should first check ourselves out and put yourself in his shoe. Dude gaz blow na abi wetin you think? Abeg make we free skiibii ohhh “Skibbi, Straight Outta Death Land”
