Missing AirAsia Plane is Likely 'At the Bottom of the Sea'

 

 Missing AirAsia flight QZ8501 was flying 'about 160 km/h too slow' when it encountered bad weather conditions, according to aviation experts. And now as the search resumes for the Airbus A320, which went missing at 6.17am on Sunday morning while travelling from Indonesia to Singapore with 162 people on board, speculation on what may have happened points to weather, speed and an older radar system.

On Monday, the head of Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency, Henry Bambang Sulistyo, said that the plane is most likely 'at the bottom of the sea'. Mr Sulistyo told a press conference:

 Prophet T.B. Joshua has released a video via his YouTube channel Emmanuel TV showing a purported prophecy he gave regarding the disappearance of AirAsia Flight 8501 in Indonesia this morning.

"I have a message for the nation, Indonesia,” Joshua is seen telling congregants in the video. “When it comes to this disaster issue, I don’t want to mention it,” the cleric continued, before calling on the faithful to pray for the Asian nation.

“It looks so nasty to me to mention - a situation where it will cost a lot of lives, suddenly,” he went on. “This is a crash. Why should this continue to happen there?”

Another Plane With 162 People (Including 17 Children) Is Missing

Another Asian airliner has gone missing: AirAsia flight QZ8501 lost contact with air traffic control at 7:24 a.m. local time on Sunday, AirAsia reported about four hours after the plane disappeared en route to Singapore.

Sunday’s missing AirAsia flight was traveling between Surabaya, in Indonesia, and Singapore. There were 155 passengers and seven crew on board the Airbus A320-200, officials have said.

An AirAsia official told the media on Sunday that the plane had requested “an unusual route” before air traffic control lost contact with QZ8501 over the Java Sea. However, an Indonesia Transport Ministry spokesperson later clarified that the pilot’s request was permission to change altitude due to bad weather, Steve Herman reported for the Voice of America.

Billionaire Aliko Dangote Loses $7.8 Billion To Naira Devaluation

Dangote is said to have lost a whopping $7.8 billion out of his $21.6 billion fortune as a result of the devaluation, nearly 10%, and also due to falling stock prices.
