Jack Osbourne’s wife, Lisa, shared some very heartbreaking news on her blog Thursday.
The 26-year-old confirmed she suffered a miscarriage.
“I have been dreading this announcement…. I needed some time before being able to say it. Jack and I lost our baby boy last week,” she writes. “Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through.”
Lisa goes on to say how much they appreciate all the prayers sent their way — and are asking for “privacy and respecting during this time.”
Jack and Lisa, who wed last October and are already proud parents to daughter Pearl, 16 months, announced they were expecting their second child on Aug. 6.
She ends her post saying, “It’s important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life’s toughest moments. We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives.”
Shortly after she published the tragic announcement, she Tweeted:
While the duo are going through a very tough time, they’re trying to stay busy. Jack — who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis last year — confirmed his spot on season 17 of Dancing With the Stars, which kicks off Sept. 16. on ABC.
Luckily, Lisa and Jack have each other to lean on.
“Having Pearl and [marrying] Lisa are just the best things ever,” the son of Ozzy and Sharon has said. “They have changed my life.”
