63 women and girls abducted by Boko Haram Islamic sect from Kummabza village in Borno State about two weeks ago have regained their freedom. The women and girls took a bold step on Friday when their abductors moved out to carry out an operation, in which 50 of them were killed by the army.
A senior official of the local vigilantes in the State confirmed their return and told journalists the women escaped when their captors went out to fight.
