Guess who stopped by for an interview with UnilagParole; he is one of the talented upcoming Rappers we have now. You know who he is, his name is ShadyTunez.
We asked him some couple of questions and here is what he had to say:-

How did you get the stage name shadyTUNeZ?

*Laughs* Got the name from friends way back 4 years ago, one of  the main  reason was that I was so Influenced
By Eminem that made them gave to me that name *laughs*


Who are the Rappers you grew up listening to?

First of them is Tupac; learnt most of My aggressive shits from him you know whatsup that real nigga shit , that street nigga shit and all. The second is Eminem who is the Greatest ever ; he is just amazing,the way he write his bars, flip words , ability to tell stories,sometimes I just sit and wonder how he fix up his syllables he his just too technicall and dope for me . I also listen to other rappers like - LL COOL J,NAS,Jay Z,50 cent,Slaughterhouse,RUN DMC, DRE DRE Etc .....

What would be your dream collaboration with any rapper or producer?

Laughs* honestly It gatta be Eminem he is a genius , also DR.Dre as a Producer I wanna learn from and work it

What’s your favorite thing to do when you aren’t writing/producing/playing etc?

I like to watch what's going on in the game study of other rappers, listen to music and I watch battle Rap a lot and also learn how hip hop changes from time to time

Who are your favourite battle Rapper?

There are a lot of dope guys meen But first He gatta be the white man Eminem
Nobody is on his level , also I got some favourites also they are :- murda Mook, T-rex, loaded Lux, Dizaster, Hallow da don,
Daylyt and cortez

When did you first start Rapping?

Its about 7 years ago now, when I look back when I started I was much more of a freestyle Battle Rapper I could freestyle from the top of my head to out rap anybody at that time....

What did your family do to encourage you?

Firstly the were amazed when they saw me in church On stage Rapping.. I looked at them while i perform that day and saw them nodding there heads back and forth it looked funny , so they talked to me and told me since its music I wanna do , they adviced me and got to know I have to finish up school then go into music fully but am here tho chasing my dreams *laughs*

What embarrassing songs do you have on your MP3 player?

Laughs Loud* None bro, you can't find one single wack song in there, I got 2pac,Eminem, Nas, slaughterhouse,Jay z. Etc.....

Where would you like to perform?

I would love the headies in nigeria here , also B.E.T awards, Mtv mama awards Etc ...

Who are your favourite Nigerian rappers?

I did pick Vector,M.I and Jesse jags and probably Mode Nine honestly we got some dope rappers in Nigeria especially in lagos. I just hope hip hop comes alive again in Nigeria . These days everybody just wanna dance they don't care about lyrics anymore I promise to change that By Gods grace

Can You sing?
Laughs* No I can't sing I don't have the gift but I can play with words any time any day . All I do is Rap..

Do you play any instruments?

No, but am taking Piano lessons

If you could dabble in another genre of music, what would it be?

It did be pop music

We hear you are working on a Project called Scary Movie Ep , What should we expect on that?

Expect crazy hardcore #bars, dope delivery and creative kinda shit !! If you love hip hop this is what you should listen to. Its droping 5th of december go get it when it comes out..

Who are the MC's featured on the Ep?

The guest MC's are - Emde slim,Codeman,sylarr killz,Kriz Vybz, T.K and Freshizu
