‎The hostel weeks of all hostels in unilag have come and gone. Some good, some bad and some neither so good nor bad. Here are my ratings of the hall weeks in unilag, male hostel and female hostel. MALE HOSTEL 

 1. Shodeinde- the stage was on point, the timing was great, the turnout was massive, tho the artiste of the day (YQ) could have bin better, the sound too could have bin better, but all in all this hostel's hall week ranks number 1.List continues after cut:

Chinwe aka YFB (young female boss) as she is popularly called is known to be a boy tho born female, she's been dressing all her life as a male which makes her a tomboy. I know she's fresh and would pass as a boy if  you aint told. The flattery aside.

Here comes the real gist, yesterday was her department graduating dinner/award night at Sheraton hotel. On a norms, chinwe should have been draped in her suits but heaven knows what changed her mind. She decided to wear a gown, do some make ups and the girls stuff I did say for the first time. Stepping out of her room to go join the bus enroute the dinner location and the least expected happened. All the whole females in her hostel were all outside taking pictures of her. As told, it got to a point the hall securities had to come to her rescue as her dressing caused commotion. She had to be taken to the hall managers room coz of he crowd her dressing pulled. It's not just about her wearing a gown but she wearing a gown and still looking beautifull is really really rare ( sorry I had to double the really). One of the females was caught saying "fresh as a guy and beautifull as a lady". Checkout pics we layed our hands on to feed your curiosity. She won most popular female in her faculty

Santa Claus dies at age 86

Santa Claus was used in a lot of Coca-Cola adverts? Well, he has died. His name was John Moore and he was the famous "Father Christmas" who inspired Coca Cola’s character and appeared in many ads for the brand. He died recently at the age of 86 and is being buried today in Burgess Hill, Sussex,UK.

When he was not shooting for Coca-Cola, he spent the rest of the year working as a taxi driver and barman. RIP, Mr Moore.

"Synagogue Building has no Approval," - Commissioner

The Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Develpoment, Oluwatoyin Ayinde, has said that the collapsed six-storey building of the Synagogue Church of All Nations has no government approval.

According to a new report on PUNCH, Ayinde stated this on Thursday while giving testimony before the coroner probing the cause of the building collapse. No fewer than 116 persons died while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries in the September 12, 2014 tragedy.

Apple Inc CEO, Tim Cook, 53, revealed today October 30th that he is gay. Tim, who became CEO when he succeeded Steve Jobs on August 24th 2011, has never discussed his sexual preference in public before today but said that many of his colleagues knew he was gay.

Joy Willaims, a 23-year old Nigerian girl has left her families in sorrow after travelling to Bangkok this month for a buttock augmentation without their consent.

Joy travelled to Bangkok with £2000 to have the surgery at SP clinic which turned out to be a success at first, but shortly after that, it turned out that her wounds had already become infected.

Father allegedly bites and beats infant son to death - and blames it on a dog

38 year old Emery James Jenkins (pictured above) has been arrested after he allegedly bit and beat his own son to death...because he wouldn't stop crying...and blamed it on a neighbour's dog.

A Minnesota man who allegedly bit and beat his infant son to death two weeks ago because he apparently wouldn’t stop crying blamed the attack on the neighbor’s dog but police aren’t buying it and he is now being charged with second degree murder.

House of Reps Speaker, Tambuwal formally defects to APC

The Speaker of Nigeria's House of Assembly, Aminu Tambuwal, has formally defected from the People's Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressive Party, APC. The speaker made the announcement at exactly 12.24pm today October 28th during the plenary session of the House.

In a short speech, the speaker said his defection was born out of the yearning of his people in Sokoto state. There are speculations that he's planning to contest for governor of Sokoto State. The House has adjourned seating till December 3rd.

In a new interview with Encomium mag, Wizkid said he doesn't care if people think he is arrogant, that he doesn't love everybody and so doesn't expect everybody to love him.

Wizkid Arrested For Smoking In A Non-Smoking Hotel In Nairobi

Wizkid who was in Nairobi over the weekend to shoot a video and also had one or two shows was actually arrested at Nairobi Crown Plaza, a non-smoking hotel where he was lodged. A Nairobian website which gave account of the scene reports that, the Nigerian star was arrested when he was about checking out of the hotel after it was discovered he had smoked an illegal substance- weed.

The hotel manager questioned him about the illegal act, which made them have a hot argument, before the hotel security men called in the police. Victoria Kimani who had been visiting him in his hotel room was also there to help him check out and witnessed the whole scenario.

When the police came, they insisted he will have to follow them to their station; Capital Hill Police Station after they handcuffed him.  Even though he had paid the Sh50, 000 fine the hotel charges for breaking their rules, he was still taken away before he finally sort himself out.

Robbers Write Igando Residents, Get Our End Of The Year Gifts Ready

Whenever I hear things like this, I laugh because I find it difficult to believable, but unfortunately it is the reality. Dilma Rousseff who has been in power since 2010, has been re-elected president of Brazil again, after securing more than 51% of votes in the closest election race in many years which took place yesterday in the country. In her victory speech, Ms Rousseff said she wants to be a better president than she has ever been.

South Africa Goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa Shot Dead in Johannesburg

South Africa football captain Senzo Meyiwa has been shot dead in Johannesburg only hours after playing a match, police have said in a statement.
Meyiwa, who played for Orlando Pirates, was shot dead when intruders entered his girlfriend's house in Vosloorus, a town 20 miles south of Johannesburg. According to the South African Police Service, two men entered the house, around 20:00 (18:00GMT), while a third man remained outside. All three
fled after shots were fired, in what local media reports say was an attempted burglary. The South African goalkeeper was reportedly shot in the chest at his girlfriend's house in Vosloorus.
