AIESEC Lagos Holds 1st ever Youth to Business Forum, Employs 300+ Youths on the spot

If you’re a Nigerian Youth who’s a die-hard fan of motivational business forums aimed at enlightening and empowering youths and you weren’t at AIESEC Lagos Youth to Business Forum then it’s safe to say you missed.. A LOT.
On the Saturday the 18th Of April, 2014, AIESEC Lagos held its 1st ever Youth to Business Forum at the Main Auditorium of the University of Lagos. The event which was anchored by Ayo Thompson, an OAP at Nigeria Info FM and Eniola Longe, a blogger started at 11am with the introduction of guests.

The first among the guests to speak was Dr. Michael Omolayole, a former Managing Director at Unilever Nigeria Plc. Omolayole spoke on his rise to the top. He stressed that the integrity and keeping to time was important for anyone who wanted to rise to the top. Hafsat Abiola-Costellowas next amongst the guests to speak. She dwelt on leadership noting that leadership was about influence. According to Abiola-Costello, a good leader must be influential.
The next session was the panelists’ session where mind boggling questions on success and leadership were asked by students and answers were provided by top business leaders. Amongst the panelists were Professor Akin Oyebode, Mr, Jimi Tewe, Mr. Awwal Abbas, Mrs. Bidemi Ademola, Hafsat Abiola- Costello, Dr. Micheal Omolayole, Mr. Ubong Essien
Public speaker, Dr. Nicholas Okoye also had a very inspiring session with the delegates, Okoye, CEO at Anabel Group in his session noted that that success could only be achieved by hard work and perseverance.
The event was brought to a close with an Inspiring speech by Professor Pat Utomi. Utomi stated that we as Nigerians must play our role in Nigeria in ensuring that we make a positive change in Our country.
Organizations which made presentations during this event included Kaplan International Colleges, Paradigm Initiatives and Jumia.
Also Jumia employed more than 300 people who were in attendance and gave out free shopping vouchers.
